The Gunnison Congregational Church — United Church of Christ is a progressive Christian voice that welcomes and embraces diversity. We strive to be a distinct and diverse community of Christians that comes together as one church to join faith, reflection and action.

Rooted in the United Church of Christ, GCC-UCC takes the Bible seriously, sometimes metaphorically and sometimes as a parable. As people who are joyfully and unapologetically Christian, we pledge ourselves completely to the faith and ways of Jesus.

We work to express our love as Jesus taught: by loving God, neighbor, and self. We unite personal faith with social justice, prayer with peacemaking, and spirituality with action.

We believe God has called us to celebrate our faith in service to our community, to support and nurture spiritual growth, and to promote justice and peace. We are inclusive, recognizing the equality and dignity of all people. Our ministry prepares us for an active faith, supporting alliance building with initiatives that are consistent with our mission and values.

We also support the wider mission of the Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Church of Christ and the world-wide mission of the United Church of Christ. Our church is open to all as a teaching and resource center.
